Golden Black is designed by Erin Doucette in Los Angeles, California. After 17 years in the fashion industry, having designed clothing for companies in NYC and Los Angeles and a line of premium denim and sportswear of her own, she made her dream of creating a line of fine jewelry a reality in 2016 with the launch of her first collection for Holiday at Night Palm in Silver Lake.

Erin finds inspiration from the healing power of natural stones, music, botanicals, vintage heirlooms, and the visual and decorative arts.

The line’s name was inspired by the necklace Erin’s grandmother never took off, a black opal set in a thin rim of 14k yellow gold hung from a wisp of a chain. That necklace came to embody Erin’s favorite human on earth and sparked her devotion to natural stones and the connection they create to their wearers.
